The Role: The Technical Business Analyst (BA) analyzes requirements and requests of the business, operations, and other users of IT services and serves as the contact for the business divisions and technology solution providers for all aspects of solution identification. The Technical BA supports projects of lower level complexity. This role also includes release management duties. Release management will be utilized to create one, holistic picture of the work being delivered in order to make informed Go/No-Go decisions with more confidence in the quality and scope of the release. This includes participating in resolving risks and issues that are internal and external to the release process following the appropriate ITIL methodology. Responsibilities: Release Planning * Single point of contact for knowledge about what is contained in area’s release * Monitor and validate phase gating activities * Communicate release-related information to area * Participate in defining, documenting, and implementing release process improvements * Analyze area's release data and create/provide reports to leaders * Provide expertise in a focused area of the business through analysis and understanding of business needs. Apply a fundamental knowledge of a business area's processes and practices * Provide business knowledge and support for resolving technology issues in their focused area of the business * Use appropriate tools and techniques to elicit and define requirements that address relatively simple business processes or projects of low to moderate complexity * Analyze requirements and create or contribute to functional designs, leveraging basic technical skills * May assist with project initiation or planning for projects of low to moderate complexity * Consult on the functional test plans and conditions for assigned applications / for projects of low complexity. Ensure that the test plans cover the testing of all defined functional requirements. Support data analysis and validation from functional tests. *Follow the change control process to manage changes to base lined deliverables and scope for projects of low to moderate complexity * Participate in information gathering sessions. Qualifications : Education: College degree* Microsoft Office Suite * Windows SharePoint Server (WSS) * Good Communication Skills * ITIL Certification in Service Transitions, a plus Careers @Allstate We are insurance.
