Emerald Point Building / First Floor Hours: 24 hours per week February, 2014 – June 30, 2014 Hourly Rate: $24.26 to $25.77 p/h depending on qualifications (no benefits)

Job Summary:
Manage the marketing and public relations program of the Resource Development department. Plans and prepares a variety of advertising, news releases, social media stories and other publications. Maintain liaison with all ten colleges and the community at large. Coordinates special events and arranges speaking opportunities for college and foundation leaders. Manages budget and assists management in objectives. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
50% - marketing and advertising plan implementation
25% - coordination of marketing efforts with colleges
10% - management of special events
10% - developing presentations and scheduling public appearance opportunities for leaders
5% - budget tracking and other related reports
Minimum Qualifications:
3-5 years experience in marketing & public relations
Bachelor degree in related field
Ability to coordinate media relations
Ability to develop advertising and marketing materials
Experience coordinating events
Desired Qualifications:
Experience design, layout, editing of publications
Coordinate fund-raising events to maximize profit
Experience writing and coordinating public presentations for others
Project management with more than five partner agencies
