Department: Learning Support Center, PVCC

Hours: Varies, up to 19.0 Hours per Week

Schedule: Shifts are available mornings, afternoons, and evenings Monday-Friday & 10:00am-2:00pm Saturdays Hourly Rate: $9.00-$13.50 DOE Benefits Eligible: No

Job Summary: Tutor students individually and in small groups in course concepts for MAT through calculus 1 (MAT220), physics, chemistry, and biology. Provide reinforcement and practice of course material, aid in the comprehension of course material, and offer test reviews as needed.

Qualifications:  Earned grade of A or B in subject courses and carry a minimum 3.0 overall GPA Must be recommended by subject faculty if a student applicant Ability to work with students from varied backgrounds, age groups, and skill levels Must be patient and have a strong desire to help students Strong communication skills Must attend LSC’s CRLA level-1 tutor training the semester hired

Job Summary: Provides routine secretarial and receptionist support for the evening operation of the Mathematics Division; maintains confidentiality regarding sensitive materials and records and instructor and student information; responds to a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, administrators, and the public regarding division and college activities, practices, procedures and policies; provides communication liaison assistance between and among the division faculty, division chair, and other division support staff; performs general clerical duties such as filing, copying, faxing, data entry; composes correspondence and prepares documents; schedules appointments and meetings as requested; may assist with special events; performs other duties and projects as assigned; works collaboratively with other division support staff.

Qualifications: Knowledge of standard office practices, procedures and equipment, and basic computer systems such as MS Word, Excel; excellent communication skills; experience working in an office environment and experience providing customer service to the public.

 The Sanitor will be required to cross train on all the different equipment in packaging and processing.

 The Sanitors are also responsible for helping to maintain the sites MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule).

 The Sanitor will responsible for owning one of the Food Safety Sections of the Quality Systems Health Audit.

 Sanitors are expected to attend and participate in team meetings.

 Engagement in the business is required.

 Expected to perform other sanitation related duties as assigned by the Resource and Coordinator.

 Sanitors must be flexible in schedules based on company need.
